It’s been a while

I didn’t post anything for days because of some personal stuff I had to do. But while most bloggers would say I’m sorry I will blog more often and stuff like that, I’m just going to write my next post.

My component finally got approved and while it isn’t making any revenue yet I hope it will in the future. It’s a more general matrix class written in C++ so it can aid developers in their development not wasting time on writing and testing something that might be essential to the algorithm but tiresome to do. It got the seal of approval a few days ago but Eran Galperin wanted to discuss my pricing. No the price was not too high but too low considering an increase to get better revenue. Other than that their interaction with the developers is phenomenal and they really care about you and try to give you good directions.

You can see the component @ Matrix Class.

Quote of the day

“Very often we are our own worst enemy as we foolishly build stumbling blocks on the path that leads to success and happiness.”

Try not to be your own obstacle.

Daily dose of qoutes

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”

This one is meant to be like an addition to my previous post, it fits it quite nicely.

I’ve hit the sweet spot!

Well it’s not an oil drill and definitely not a gold mine but it does mean that something nice happened.

I’ve got my 10th visitor, and while that is not much by itself, it means a lot. The first visits are being generated, true visits not from some random links but people actually clicked to see what it was about and read a line or two.

This post today is not here to “brag” about my first 2-digit visitor it’s to tell you a story, something I learned in the past few weeks on the internet reading various blogs and articles. The most frequent advice I came across was “be patient” , “keep a cool head” and so on. While it might be true that patience is a virtue, I’m going to tell something totally different.

While patience helps you not to make any reckless or unreasoned actions, if you get “too patient” you’ll soon find yourself in a zombie like state loosing focus and determination needed to make things happen and to succeed. Business is about keeping a cool head but it’s not a waiting game, most people neglect the “energy” factor and potential. While often the energy is found in some young or naive investors, which we often see with their ridiculous ideas, quite the opposite happens with other less naive and maybe older or wiser investors. That leads to the fact that while young and naive people play it reckless and go for high risk – high reward situations, the old and wise go for the low risk – low reward option and none of them make a fortune. If you take a close look at some big names like Donald Trump, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and you name any other, they all made fortunes but not by playing either strategy but by smartly analyzing the situations and using them for their advantage while balancing their energy and patience to make it happen.

Patience keeps a fortune, energy makes it, smart thinking does it both.

Daily quote!

“Action is the real measure of intelligence.” – Napoleon Hill

Unless you do something about it there’s no use dreaming about it.

The egg just hatched!

The egg just hatched. I’ve finished my first component and submitted it for review on Binpress and while I still have to wait for it to get approved, knowing that my first checkpoint has been reached is a huge relief. Now it won’t be a gold mine for sure but anything above zero is currently an achievement. Anyway, I’ve decided it’s time to put some color into this blog since I’ve just made the first checkpoint.

I have a few more ideas for components to increase my repertoire and possibly my revenues, for now I have personal stuff to concentrate on so there wont be any components coming up in the next 5 days or so.

As soon as the component is approved I’ll make sure to put it up one here for some comments.

Feeling a little dull

I know it’s been only 2 days since I’ve started this blog, but writing is nothing if you don’t share. The sole purpose of this blog is to keep a journal for me and to get in touch, exchange opinions and ideas. However to do that you need something that every blog needs – Traffic. And to generate that you need to do some marketing, like in the sales-world people don’t buy anything until they know what it is – with the exception of lottery. So my current mission is to generate some Traffic and hopefully start a small community. The first step is to post my link on the internet so some people can see it. I sat down with my trusty old friend named google. After 15 minutes he actually found a nice forum that just fits my blog,  so I registered. Teen Business Forum is actually quite nice, since there are people from around the world there’s a rather versatile idea and knowledge base and it seems quite useful. I’ve made my introductory post looked a bit around and made a post about my blog. Hope it brings my first visitors. I know it will take time to see the first 10’s of visitors a day since it’s probably the hardest thing to get a new blog on the market, but hey at least I know it will eventually grow with time and effort.
